Hey Readers, have just one more week before classes start. Pretty excited. Have a busy schedule but I should be able to handle it. Yesterday, I came down to Springfield with my brother Jeremy and his two friends, Jordan and Dez. We came down a week early to get them all moved into their new house. I will be crashing with them until I am able to move into the dorms. Yep, you read right. I will be moving into the dorms. It's not too bad being a twenty-nine year old in a dorm full of early twenty-somethings. It's actually kind of hilarious.
I really like being around them. They have an interesting point of view on the world. It's kind of refreshing. They are so ambitious and ready to take on the world which is different from some of my late twenty, early thirty friends, who are already in the world and feeling a bit defeated by it. The world can be overwhelming when you're REALLY in it. But this is something that my dorm mates will learn as they complete school and get out there.
How do I feel about being SO old amongst all these “young-ins”? I feel alright. Most of the time people don't really know just how old I am since lovingly I do not look my age. Plus, I am quite laid back and like to take things as they come along.
But I am really excited for this semester to start. I have two more years to complete my own studies and then I will be back out in those mean streets. I am taking 15 hours this semester, sitting as a Senator for the Student Government Association, and VP of Membership for my sorority. So, this semester will be pretty busy.
I will try to tell you more about my studies and experiences at school.
Ciao for now!!!!
